Objective:
The following process outlines how we manage the TS container circuit and facilitate repairs to damaged TS containers - TS containers refers to TSH/TSD and TSR units, in the Waikato LCS circuit.
Important to note - Hamilton CT Site – TS container movements: TSD & TSH are KiwiRail Owned. Repair and Lift cost charged to Fonterra. TSR’s are Fonterra Owned. Lift cost charged to Fonterra.
Notification of Damages:
Fonterra will notify IMEX (usually via email) when a TSD/TSH/TSR container is damaged and requires repair.
IMEX will then notify all relevant KR Teams via email, listing the container number/s, wagon and train that the container/s will be travelling on. Hamilton CT site will then unload the damaged unit accordingly once it arrives into CT; using the bulk booking for that month.
The internal distribution list fonterra.ts.damage@kiwirail.co.nz can be used to send these coms:
IMEX – IMEX@kiwirail.co.nz
KR Stow BOP – KRStowBOP@kiwirail.co.nz
KR CT Site HAM – KRCTSite-HAM@kiwirail.co.nz
KR Yard HAM – KRHAMOPS@kiwirail.co.nz
Container Maintenance Report – container.maintenance@kiwirail.co.nz
Revenue Assurance Reports – rareports@kiwirail.co.nz
Bulk TS repair bookings:
For our part at the start of every month, we’ll need to ensure we are sending HAM CT a list of updated booking numbers. You can use the below bookings to pattern for the upcoming month. The freight payer code relating to the TS containers is now 2JNL0M.
The only minor issue that could arise with the patterned bookings is if a container is gated twice within a month, HAM CT won’t be able to gate it back into the same booking again.
In this particular instance; we can pattern a booking for 1 single slot and ask HAM CT to gate the container into the single slot booking.
When creating forward bookings, please pattern using the below booking numbers as examples before sending the bookings to HAM CT.
